अंग्रेज़ी “croon” (लगभग 15वीं शताब्दी) से; शुरुआती अर्थ बैल जैसी गहरी आवाज़ में रंभाना/गर्जना था, जो बाद में (स्कॉट्स प्रयोग के प्रभाव से) धीमे, नीची और मुलायम आवाज़ में गाने के अर्थ में विकसित हुआ।
Definition
To croon means to sing gently and smoothly, usually in a low, warm voice, or to speak in a soft, murmuring way (often to comfort someone). “Crooned” is the past tense and past participle.
