Definition
A cough is a reflex or voluntary action in which air is pushed out of the lungs quickly and loudly, often because the throat or airways are irritated by mucus, dust, smoke, infection, or allergies. It can be dry (without mucus) or productive (with mucus).
खाँसी एक प्रतिवर्त या स्वैच्छिक क्रिया है जिसमें फेफड़ों से हवा तेज़ी से और ज़ोर से बाहर निकलती है, अक्सर इसलिए क्योंकि गला या श्वासनलियाँ बलगम, धूल, धुआँ, संक्रमण या एलर्जी से उत्तेजित होती हैं। यह सूखी (बिना बलगम) या बलगमी/उत्पादक (बलगम के साथ) हो सकती है।
