Definition
Convex describes a shape or surface that curves outward (not inward); in geometry it means there are no inward dents, and in mathematics a convex set contains the entire line segment joining any two of its points.
Convex (उत्तल) उस आकार/सतह को कहते हैं जो बाहर की ओर उभरी हुई हो (अंदर की ओर नहीं); ज्यामिति में इसका अर्थ है कि आकृति में अंदर की ओर धँसाव नहीं होता, और गणित में उत्तल समुच्चय वह है जिसमें किसी भी दो बिंदुओं को जोड़ने वाला पूरा रेखाखंड उसी के भीतर रहता है।
