Definition
Contraindications are specific situations (such as diseases, allergies, pregnancy, or drug interactions) in which a medicine, therapy, or procedure should not be used, or should be used only with special caution, because the risk outweighs the benefit.
निषेध-कारण (contraindications) वे विशेष परिस्थितियाँ हैं (जैसे कुछ रोग, एलर्जी, गर्भावस्था, या दवा-अंतरक्रिया) जिनमें किसी दवा, उपचार या प्रक्रिया का प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए, या केवल विशेष सावधानी के साथ करना चाहिए, क्योंकि लाभ की तुलना में जोखिम अधिक होता है।
