लैटिन consideratio (‘सावधानीपूर्वक परीक्षा/विचार’) से, पुरानी फ़्रेंच consideration के माध्यम से; मूल रूप से लैटिन considerare (‘विचार करना/जांचना’) से।
Definition
Consideration means the act of thinking carefully about something, a particular reason or factor that influences a decision, showing regard for other people’s feelings and needs, and in law, something valuable (money, service, promise, etc.) given in exchange for a promise so that a contract becomes enforceable.
Consideration का अर्थ है किसी बात पर सावधानी से सोचना, निर्णय को प्रभावित करने वाला कोई कारण/कारक, दूसरों की भावनाओं व जरूरतों का ध्यान/खयाल रखना, और कानून में—किसी वचन/प्रतिज्ञा के बदले दी गई कोई मूल्यवान चीज़ (पैसा, सेवा, वचन आदि) जिससे अनुबंध बाध्यकारी बनता है।
