From the verb condescend (17th century), ultimately from Latin condescendere ‘to stoop, to descend’, from com- ‘together’ + descendere ‘to descend’.

Definition
Condescending describes speech or behavior that seems politely kind but actually shows you think you are better than the other person.
Condescending ऐसे बोल-चाल या व्यवहार को कहते हैं जो ऊपर-ऊपर से विनम्र लगे, लेकिन भीतर से यह दिखाए कि बोलने वाला खुद को दूसरे से श्रेष्ठ समझता है।
