लैटिन concrescere (“साथ-साथ बढ़ना/जुड़कर बढ़ना”) से; con- (“साथ/एक साथ”) + crescere (“बढ़ना”)। बाद में इसका प्रयोग वैज्ञानिक और दार्शनिक लेखन में हुआ।
Definition
Concrescence is the act or process by which separate parts, tissues, or organisms grow together and become fused into one; it can also describe a harmonized joining of different forms into a hybrid design, and in some contexts an increase or increment.
Concrescence वह प्रक्रिया है जिसमें अलग-अलग भाग, ऊतक या जीव साथ-साथ बढ़ते हुए आपस में जुड़कर एक हो जाते हैं; इसका उपयोग भिन्न रूपों/आकृतियों के संगम से बनी समन्वित संकर (हाइब्रिड) रचना के लिए भी हो सकता है, और कुछ संदर्भों में वृद्धि/इज़ाफ़ा (increment) के अर्थ में भी।
