From the verb “complement” (Middle English), from Latin complementum “that which fills up, completion,” from complere “to fill up, complete.”
यह “complement” क्रिया से बना है (मिडिल इंग्लिश), जिसका स्रोत लैटिन complementum है, अर्थ “पूरा करने वाली चीज़/पूर्णता”; यह लैटिन complere “भर देना, पूरा करना” से आया है।
Definition
Used to say that someone or something added the missing part, improved the effect, or matched another thing well (e.g., skills, colors, flavors). It can also be technical (math/electronics) meaning “convert to its complement.”
इसका उपयोग यह बताने के लिए होता है कि किसी व्यक्ति/वस्तु ने किसी चीज़ को पूरा किया, उसका प्रभाव बढ़ाया, या वह किसी दूसरी चीज़ के साथ अच्छी तरह मेल खाई (जैसे कौशल, रंग, स्वाद)। तकनीकी संदर्भ (गणित/इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स) में इसका अर्थ “किसी मान को उसके कॉम्प्लीमेंट में बदलना” भी हो सकता है।
