Definition
A coelom is a fluid-filled cavity between the body wall and the gut, fully lined by mesoderm-derived tissue (peritoneum), allowing organs to be suspended and move independently.
कोएलम (देहगुहा) पशुओं में शरीर-दीवार और आंत्र (गट) के बीच द्रव-भरी गुहा होती है, जो मेसोडर्म-उत्पन्न परितोनियम से पूर्णतः अस्तरित रहती है; इसमें अंग (विशेषकर पाचन तंत्र) निलंबित रहते हैं और स्वतंत्र रूप से गति कर सकते हैं।
