गणित में प्रचलित पदबंध “closed form” से, जिसका अर्थ है पूर्ण/स्वयं-समाप्त (self-contained) और सीमित सूत्र; यहाँ “closed” का भाव ‘पूर्ण’ है, जिसमें अनंत प्रक्रिया की आवश्यकता नहीं होती।
Definition
A closed-form result is one you can write down directly as a finite formula (for example, using +, −, ×, ÷, powers, roots, exponentials, logarithms, trigonometric functions), rather than defining it by an infinite series, recursion, or a purely numerical algorithm.
बंद-रूप (closed-form) परिणाम वह होता है जिसे सीमित और स्पष्ट सूत्र के रूप में सीधे लिखा जा सके (जैसे +, −, ×, ÷, घात, मूल, घातांकीय, लघुगणक, त्रिकोणमितीय फलन), न कि अनंत श्रेणी, पुनरावृत्ति (recursion), या केवल संख्यात्मक विधि/एल्गोरिद्म से परिभाषित किया जाए।
