From Middle English cloistre (from Old French cloistre), ultimately from Latin claustrum (“enclosure, barrier”), from claudere (“to close”).

Definition
“Cloistered” describes someone living a secluded, sheltered life (as in a monastery or convent), or something kept isolated from ordinary social contact; it can also mean an institution/building furnished with cloisters.
“Cloistered” उस व्यक्ति/जीवन-शैली के लिए कहा जाता है जो मठ/कॉन्वेंट की तरह एकांत और संरक्षित वातावरण में रहता हो, या किसी को/किसी चीज़ को सामान्य सामाजिक संपर्क से अलग रखे जाने के लिए; कभी-कभी यह ऐसे भवन/संस्थान के लिए भी आता है जिसमें क्लॉइस्टर (आँगन के चारों ओर ढके हुए गलियारे) हों।
