Definition
“Clinks” can mean the repeated/continuous sharp ringing sounds made when metal or glass hits another (noun), or it can describe that action (verb: “he/she/it clinks”). In informal slang, “the clink” means a prison, and “clinks” may refer to such prisons in plural. In metallurgy, it can also refer to stress cracks that appear in cast metal ingots as they cool.
