Definition
A cleat is a small fitting that sticks out and is used to secure a rope, cable, or line (commonly on boats, docks, and flags). It can also mean a short spike/stud fixed to the bottom of a shoe to prevent slipping and improve traction.
क्लिट (cleat) एक छोटा उभरा हुआ फिटिंग/टुकड़ा होता है जिसका उपयोग रस्सी, केबल या लाइन को बाँधकर सुरक्षित करने के लिए किया जाता है (अक्सर नावों, घाटों और ध्वज-दंड पर)। इसका अर्थ जूते के तलवे के नीचे लगा छोटा काँटा/स्टड भी होता है जो फिसलने से बचाता है और पकड़ (ट्रैक्शन) बढ़ाता है।
