From Latin cirrus (“curl, wisp of hair”) + cumulus (“heap, pile”); adopted into scientific cloud classification in the 19th century.
लैटिन cirrus (अर्थ: ‘घुंघराला/रेशमी गुच्छा’) + cumulus (अर्थ: ‘ढेर/समूह’) से बना; 19वीं शताब्दी में वैज्ञानिक बादल-वर्गीकरण में प्रचलित हुआ।
Definition
Cirrocumulus is a high cloud (usually above about 6 km) made of tiny, rounded cloudlets that form a pattern of grains, ripples, or rows; it is mostly white and usually does not produce precipitation reaching the ground.
सिरोक्यूम्यूलस एक ऊँचाई पर बनने वाला बादल (आमतौर पर लगभग 6 किमी से ऊपर) है जो बहुत छोटे, गोल-गोल बादली गुच्छों से बनता है; ये दानेदार/लहरदार या कतारों जैसा पैटर्न बनाते हैं, सामान्यतः सफ़ेद दिखते हैं और प्रायः ऐसी वर्षा नहीं करते जो ज़मीन तक पहुँचे।
