Definition
A cicada is a large plant-sucking insect with clear wings; males produce a loud buzzing sound, especially in warm seasons, and some species emerge in huge numbers after many years underground.
सिकाडा (cicada) एक बड़ा रस-चूसने वाला कीट है जिसके पंख पारदर्शी और नसों वाले होते हैं; नर गर्म मौसम में तेज़ भनभनाहट/झंकार जैसी आवाज़ निकालते हैं, और कुछ प्रजातियाँ कई वर्षों तक भूमिगत रहने के बाद बहुत बड़ी संख्या में बाहर निकलती हैं।
