Definition
Chedites are early smokeless explosive compositions, typically based on nitrocellulose (or similar nitrated material) combined with strong oxidizers (often chlorates), developed in the late 19th century and used for blasting and military purposes.
चेडाइट्स शुरुआती धुआँ-रहित विस्फोटक मिश्रण हैं, जो सामान्यतः नाइट्रोसेलुलोज़ (या समान नाइट्रेटेड पदार्थ) और शक्तिशाली ऑक्सीडाइज़र (अक्सर क्लोरेट) के संयोजन से बने होते हैं; इन्हें 19वीं शताब्दी के अंत में विकसित किया गया और खनन/विस्फोटन तथा सैन्य उपयोगों में प्रयोग किया गया।
