Origin & History
From charge + back, originally used in banking and card-payment systems to mean charging an amount back (reversing it) to the merchant after a dispute.
'चार्ज' + 'बैक' से बना शब्द; बैंकिंग और कार्ड-भुगतान प्रणालियों में विवाद के बाद राशि को व्यापारी पर वापस डालने/उलटने (रिवर्स) के अर्थ में प्रचलित हुआ।
Definition
A chargeback is when a cardholder disputes a card transaction and the issuing bank reverses the payment, taking the money back from the merchant (often with fees) while the case is reviewed.
चार्जबैक तब होता है जब कार्डधारक किसी कार्ड लेन-देन पर विवाद करता है और जारीकर्ता बैंक भुगतान को उलट देता है, यानी व्यापारी से पैसा वापस ले लिया जाता है (अक्सर शुल्क सहित) और मामले की जाँच/समीक्षा की जाती है।
