From capital + -ization; capital comes via Middle French from Latin caput (“head”), and capitalization developed in English to mean both ‘use of capital letters’ and later financial ‘capital formation/valuation’.
यह शब्द capital + -ization से बना है; capital मध्य फ़्रांसीसी के माध्यम से लैटिन caput (“सिर/शीर्ष”) से आया। अंग्रेज़ी में capitalization पहले ‘बड़े अक्षरों का प्रयोग’ के अर्थ में, और बाद में वित्तीय अर्थ ‘पूँजी निर्माण/मूल्यांकन’ के लिए विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Capitalization refers to (1) using capital letters according to writing rules (e.g., starting a sentence, proper nouns), and (2) in business/finance, the total value of a company’s shares or the act of converting assets/earnings into capital.
Capitalization का मतलब (1) लेखन-नियमों के अनुसार बड़े अक्षरों (Capital letters) का प्रयोग (जैसे वाक्य की शुरुआत, व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञाएँ), और (2) व्यापार/वित्त में कंपनी के शेयरों का कुल मूल्य (मार्केट कैपिटलाइज़ेशन) या संपत्ति/आय को पूँजी में बदलने की प्रक्रिया होता है।
