A canteen is most commonly a small place where food and drinks are sold inside an institution like a school, office, factory, or military unit; in military/outdoor contexts it can also mean a portable water bottle or a mess kit/utensil container.
कैंटीन आम तौर पर स्कूल, कार्यालय, फैक्टरी या सैन्य इकाई जैसी संस्था के भीतर भोजन और पेय बेचने वाली छोटी जगह होती है; सैन्य/आउटडोर संदर्भ में इसका अर्थ पोर्टेबल पानी की बोतल या मेस किट/बर्तन रखने का डिब्बा भी हो सकता है।
