Definition
“Boards” is the plural form of “board” and commonly refers to (1) long, flat pieces of material used in building or making furniture, (2) a board/panel with switches or controls, (3) a playing surface for board games, and (4) a managing committee such as a board of directors; in some contexts it can also mean meals provided with lodging (“room and board”).
