अंग्रेज़ी bird (पक्षी) + call (पुकार/आवाज़) से बना संयुक्त शब्द; आधुनिक अंग्रेज़ी में पहले पक्षी की पुकार के अर्थ में और बाद में उसकी नकल/अनुकृति के अर्थ में भी प्रयुक्त।
Definition
A birdcall is the characteristic sound a bird makes to communicate (for example, to attract a mate, warn of danger, or mark territory), and it can also mean a human-made imitation of that sound, such as a whistle or device used by birdwatchers.
