Definition
Biotechnology is the application of biology and technology to manipulate organisms or biological components to create useful products (such as medicines, vaccines, and improved crops) or to solve problems in agriculture, industry, and healthcare.
जैव प्रौद्योगिकी (बायोटेक्नोलॉजी) जीवों, कोशिकाओं या जैविक प्रणालियों का उपयोग/संशोधन करके उपयोगी उत्पाद (जैसे दवाएँ, टीके, बेहतर फसलें) बनाने तथा कृषि, उद्योग और स्वास्थ्य-सेवा की समस्याएँ हल करने की तकनीकी प्रक्रिया है।
