Origin & History

From earlier barefaced (“open, undisguised; shameless”), literally “with a bare face,” from bare + face, with the adverbial suffix -ly; recorded especially from the 17th century onward.

पहले के barefaced (“खुले तौर पर; बिना छिपाए; निर्लज्ज”) से, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ “नंगा/खुला चेहरा” था; bare + face और क्रिया-विशेषण बनाने वाले प्रत्यय -ly से बना। उपयोग विशेष रूप से 17वीं शताब्दी के बाद से मिलता है।
