From bang ‘to cut hair (or a horse’s tail) straight across’ + tailed; recorded chiefly in American English (19th century and later) for animals with ‘banged’ tails.
bang (‘बाल/पूँछ को सीधा काटना’) + tailed से बना; मुख्यतः अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी (19वीं शताब्दी और बाद) में उन जानवरों के लिए दर्ज हुआ जिनकी पूँछ ‘सीधी काटी’ गई हो।
Definition
Bangtailed describes an animal—most often a horse—whose tail has been trimmed or cut off short (a ‘banged’ tail). In some older or regional uses it can also refer to a horse with a long, full tail, and in informal dialect it has been used to mean ‘smartly dressed.’
Bangtailed का अर्थ आम तौर पर किसी जानवर—विशेषकर घोड़े—से है जिसकी पूँछ को सीधा काटकर छोटा कर दिया गया हो (जिसे ‘banged tail’ कहा जाता है)। कुछ पुराने/क्षेत्रीय प्रयोगों में यह लंबे, घने बालों वाली पूँछ वाले घोड़े के लिए भी आया है, और बोलचाल की कुछ बोलियों में ‘अच्छी तरह से सजा-धजा’ के अर्थ में भी प्रयुक्त हुआ है।
