A ball-and-socket joint is a type of joint (in anatomy or engineering) where a spherical “ball” fits into a hollow “socket,” permitting rotation and movement in multiple planes (e.g., shoulder, hip).
बॉल-एंड-सॉकेट जोड़ (शरीर-विज्ञान या अभियांत्रिकी में) ऐसा जोड़ होता है जिसमें गोल “बॉल” एक खोखले “सॉकेट” में फिट होती है और इससे घूमना तथा कई दिशाओं/समतलों में गति संभव होती है (जैसे कंधा, कूल्हा)।
