From Middle English baggepipe, formed from bag + pipe; bagpipes are attested in medieval Europe, with the modern Great Highland bagpipe developing in Scotland later.

Definition
A bagpipe is a wind instrument with an airtight bag (often leather or synthetic) that stores air; the player blows air in (by mouth or bellows) and squeezes the bag to force air through reeds in one or more pipes, producing a continuous tone with melody and drone notes.
बैगपाइप एक वाद्य यंत्र है जिसमें हवा भरने के लिए एक वायुरुद्ध थैली (अक्सर चमड़े या सिंथेटिक सामग्री की) होती है; वादक मुंह या बेलोज़ से हवा भरता है और थैली को दबाकर हवा को रीड लगे एक या अधिक पाइपों से गुजारता है, जिससे निरंतर ध्वनि निकलती है और धुन (मेलोडी) के साथ ड्रोन स्वर भी बजते हैं।
