A backwoodsman is someone accustomed to living in remote wooded areas with few modern comforts; the word can also mean a rude or uncultured person, and in UK politics it refers to a peer who rarely attends the House of Lords except for important votes.
backwoodsman वह व्यक्ति है जो दूरदराज़ जंगल/वन क्षेत्र में कम आधुनिक सुविधाओं के साथ रहने का आदी हो; यह शब्द कभी-कभी रूखे/असभ्य या असंस्कृत व्यक्ति के लिए भी प्रयुक्त होता है, और ब्रिटेन की राजनीति में यह ऐसे ‘पीयर’ के लिए कहा जाता है जो हाउस ऑफ़ लॉर्ड्स में बहुत कम उपस्थित होता है और महत्वपूर्ण मतदान के समय बुलाया जा सकता है।
