Origin & History
From Middle French “avarage/average” and Medieval Latin “averagium”, originally referring to a charge/assessment; later developed the sense of a mean value in mathematics and statistics.
मध्य फ़्रेंच “avarage/average” और मध्ययुगीन लैटिन “averagium” से; प्रारम्भिक अर्थ ‘कर/आकलन’ (चार्ज) से जुड़ा था, बाद में गणित/सांख्यिकी में ‘माध्य/औसत मान’ का अर्थ विकसित हुआ।
Definition
