Formed from atmosphere (via modern Latin/Greek roots: Greek atmo- ‘vapour’ + sphaira ‘sphere’) + -ical; ‘atmospherical’ is a variant of ‘atmospheric’.

Pertaining to the Earth’s atmosphere or to air and its conditions (pressure, temperature, humidity, etc.); essentially the same in meaning as ‘atmospheric’ and used mainly in scientific or formal contexts.
