Apteryx is the scientific genus name for kiwi birds—small, nocturnal, flightless birds native to New Zealand, known for their long bill, reduced wings, and hairlike feathers.
Apteryx कीवी पक्षियों का वैज्ञानिक वंश (genus) नाम है—ये न्यूज़ीलैंड के मूल निवासी, छोटे, रात्रिचर, उड़ान-रहित पक्षी होते हैं, जिनकी लंबी चोंच, बहुत छोटे/अविकसित पंख और बाल-जैसे पंख (feathers) होते हैं।
