From Latin *appretiare* (“to appraise, to set a price”), via Old French *appreciation*; later developed senses of “recognition/understanding” and “increase in value.”
लैटिन *appretiare* (अर्थ: “मूल्य आँकना/कीमत तय करना”) से, पुरानी फ़्रेंच *appreciation* के माध्यम से; बाद में अर्थ “सराहना/समझ” और “मूल्य में वृद्धि” के रूप में विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Appreciation means recognizing someone’s value or good qualities and expressing thanks or praise; it can also mean understanding something well (e.g., art), or an increase in monetary value.
Appreciation का अर्थ किसी के गुण, योग्यता या योगदान को पहचानकर उसकी सराहना/कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करना है; इसका अर्थ किसी चीज़ की सही समझ (जैसे कला) भी हो सकता है, और वित्त/अर्थशास्त्र में इसका अर्थ मूल्य में वृद्धि भी होता है।
