From Greek antíspasis, from anti- ‘against, in return’ + spáein ‘to draw/pull’ (sense of ‘drawing a word to another meaning’ in rhetorical use).
यह यूनानी antíspasis से आया है, जो anti- (‘विरुद्ध/प्रत्युत्तर में’) + spáein (‘खींचना/तानना’) से बना है; वाक्शास्त्रीय अर्थ में ‘शब्द को दूसरे अर्थ की ओर खींचना’ का भाव निहित है।
Definition
Antispasis is a rare term in rhetoric/grammar referring to the repetition of the same word while changing its sense, or to a shift in reference (often with pronouns) so that the same form points to different things in different parts of a sentence or passage.
एंटिस्पासिस (antispasis) वाक्शास्त्र/व्याकरण का एक दुर्लभ पद है, जिसमें एक ही शब्द को दोहराते समय उसका अर्थ बदल दिया जाता है, या संदर्भ (विशेषकर सर्वनामों का) इस तरह बदलता है कि वही रूप वाक्य/पैसेज के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में अलग वस्तुओं/व्यक्तियों की ओर संकेत करे।
