Origin & History
From anti- (“opposite”) + perthite (a feldspar intergrowth), coined in geology to denote the reverse relationship where plagioclase is the host.
anti- (अर्थ: ‘विपरीत’) + perthite (फेल्डस्पार की एक अंतरवृद्धि) से; भूविज्ञान में यह बताने हेतु गढ़ा गया कि इसमें होस्ट के रूप में प्लैजियोक्लेस होता है (अर्थात ‘उलटा/विपरीत’ perthite संबंध)।
Definition
Antiperthite is a feldspar intergrowth (exsolution texture) where plagioclase forms the main host crystal and alkali feldspar (typically K-feldspar) appears as thin lamellae or irregular patches within it, commonly seen in metamorphic and igneous rocks.
एंटिपर्थाइट एक फेल्डस्पार अंतरवृद्धि (एक्सोल्यूशन बनावट) है जिसमें प्लैजियोक्लेस मुख्य होस्ट क्रिस्टल होता है और उसके भीतर क्षारीय फेल्डस्पार (आमतौर पर के-फेल्डस्पार) पतली लैमेला या अनियमित धब्बों के रूप में मिलता है; यह बनावट प्रायः रूपांतरित और आग्नेय चट्टानों में दिखाई देती है।
