Definition
An annulment is a legal declaration that something is void and treated as if it never had legal effect, most commonly a marriage annulment (different from divorce, which ends a valid marriage).
एनलमेंट (निरस्तीकरण) एक कानूनी घोषणा है जिसके द्वारा किसी कार्य/दस्तावेज़/विवाह आदि को शून्य (अवैध) घोषित कर दिया जाता है और उसे ऐसा माना जाता है मानो उसका कानूनी रूप से अस्तित्व ही नहीं था; यह प्रायः विवाह के संदर्भ में होता है (तलाक से भिन्न, क्योंकि तलाक वैध विवाह को समाप्त करता है)।
