From Middle English along(e), from Old English andlang (“along, at full length”), from and- (“against, opposite”) + lang (“long”).
यह मध्य अंग्रेज़ी along(e) से आया है, जो पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी andlang (“साथ-साथ/पूरी लंबाई के साथ”) से निकला; and- (“विरुद्ध/सामने”) + lang (“लंबा”) का संयोजन।
Definition
“Along” is used to show movement or position beside something (a road, river, wall), to mean “together with” someone, or to indicate that something progresses in time or continues.
“Along” का प्रयोग किसी चीज़ (सड़क, नदी, दीवार) के किनारे/साथ-साथ चलने या स्थित होने के लिए, किसी के साथ होने के अर्थ में, या यह बताने के लिए कि कोई चीज़ समय के साथ आगे बढ़ रही है/जारी है, किया जाता है।
