From Latin affectus (“emotion, disposition”), via the root affect-, with the abstract noun suffix -ivity; modern usage developed in psychological/psychiatric contexts.

Definition
Affectivity refers to a person’s emotional life—how readily they feel emotions, how intensely they experience them, and how they express or regulate them (often used in psychology and psychiatry).
Affectivity का अर्थ व्यक्ति के भावनात्मक जीवन से है—वह कितनी आसानी से भावनाएँ महसूस करता/करती है, उन्हें कितनी तीव्रता से अनुभव करता/करती है, और उन्हें कैसे व्यक्त या नियंत्रित करता/करती है (यह शब्द अक्सर मनोविज्ञान और मनोरोग-विज्ञान में प्रयोग होता है)।
