Formed from affected + -ness; affected comes from Latin affectus/afficere via French, meaning “to influence, to dispose,” later also “to adopt artificially.”
affected + -ness से बना; affected शब्द लैटिन affectus/afficere (फ़्रेंच के माध्यम से) से आया है, जिसका अर्थ था “प्रभावित करना/रुझान पैदा करना,” और बाद में “कृत्रिम ढंग से अपनाना/दिखावा करना” का अर्थ भी विकसित हुआ।

Affectedness is the quality of behaving or speaking in an unnatural, artificial, or pretentious way, often to impress others rather than to be sincere.
प्रभावितपन (अथवा बनावटीपन) वह गुण है जिसमें व्यक्ति दूसरों को प्रभावित करने के लिए स्वाभाविकता छोड़कर कृत्रिम, दिखावटी या अस्वाभाविक ढंग से व्यवहार या बोलचाल करता है।
