Definition
An acid is a substance that tastes sour (like vinegar) and, in chemistry, can donate protons (H+) or accept an electron pair and typically turns blue litmus paper red; 'acid' can also describe a sharp/tart taste or manner, and informally refers to LSD.
एसिड/अम्ल वह पदार्थ है जिसका स्वाद खट्टा होता है (जैसे सिरका) और रसायन विज्ञान में यह प्रोटॉन (H+) दे सकता है या इलेक्ट्रॉन-युग्म स्वीकार कर सकता है; यह सामान्यतः नीले लिटमस को लाल कर देता है। 'acid' शब्द खट्टे/चुभते स्वाद या स्वभाव के लिए भी आता है, और बोलचाल में LSD (लिसर्जिक एसिड डायइथाइलामाइड) के लिए भी प्रयोग होता है।
