welfare শব্দের সঙ্গে -ist প্রত্যয় যোগে গঠিত; আধুনিক ইংরেজিতে সামাজিক কল্যাণনীতি বা কল্যাণ-মান (সামাজিক নীতি ও প্রাণীকল্যাণ বিতর্কসহ) সমর্থনকারী ব্যক্তিকে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
Definition
A welfarist is someone who believes that welfare (well-being) should be protected and improved, often by supporting social welfare programs (like healthcare, housing support, or benefits) or by promoting better welfare standards (for example, in animal welfare).
welfarist বলতে এমন একজন ব্যক্তিকে বোঝায় যিনি কল্যাণ (সামগ্রিক মঙ্গল/সুস্থতা) রক্ষা ও উন্নয়নের পক্ষে থাকেন—অনেক সময় সামাজিক কল্যাণ কর্মসূচি (যেমন স্বাস্থ্যসেবা, বাসস্থান সহায়তা, ভাতা ইত্যাদি) সমর্থন করে বা কল্যাণ-মান (যেমন প্রাণীকল্যাণ) উন্নত করার পক্ষে সওয়াল করে।
