From Middle English want(en) (“to lack, be deficient; to desire”), from Old Norse vanta (“to be lacking, to need”).

Definition
“Wants” can mean (1) plural noun: things someone desires or needs, and (2) verb form: “he/she/it wants” meaning desires or needs something; it can also mean lack/absence in fixed expressions like “in want of.”
“wants” বলতে (১) বিশেষ্যর বহুবচন: কারও চাওয়া বা প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসগুলো বোঝায়, এবং (২) ক্রিয়ার রূপ: “he/she/it wants” অর্থাৎ সে কিছু চায় বা তার প্রয়োজন; এছাড়া “in want of” ইত্যাদিতে অভাব/অনুপস্থিতি অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।
