মধ্য ইংরেজি verification থেকে এসেছে; তা পুরনো ফরাসি verificacion এবং মধ্যযুগীয় লাতিন verificatio থেকে উদ্ভূত; লাতিন verificare (“সত্য করে তোলা”: verus “সত্য” + facere “করা/তৈরি করা”)—এর বহুবচন রূপ হলো verifications।
Definition
Verifications are acts, processes, or results of checking and confirming that information, identity, claims, calculations, or evidence are correct and authentic; it can also mean the state of having been confirmed (e.g., by documents, witnesses, tests, or proof).
Verifications বলতে তথ্য, পরিচয়, দাবি, হিসাব বা প্রমাণ সত্য/সঠিক/বৈধ কি না তা পরীক্ষা করে নিশ্চিত করার কাজ, প্রক্রিয়া বা ফলাফল বোঝায়; এটি যাচাইকৃত/নিশ্চিত হওয়ার অবস্থাকেও নির্দেশ করে (যেমন নথি, সাক্ষী, পরীক্ষা বা প্রমাণের মাধ্যমে)।
