From modern scientific Latin uvel(l)a “little grape; uvula” + English adjectival suffix -ate/-late, used in anatomical and botanical description.
আধুনিক বৈজ্ঞানিক লাতিন uvel(l)a (অর্থ ‘ছোট আঙুর’; পরবর্তীতে ‘ইউভুলা’) থেকে এবং ইংরেজি বিশেষণসূচক প্রত্যয় -ate/-late যুক্ত হয়ে গঠিত; শারীরস্থান ও উদ্ভিদবিদ্যার বর্ণনায় ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Uvellate describes something that resembles the uvula (the small, fleshy projection hanging at the back of the soft palate), or in botany something with a small, dangling, uvula-like process.
Uvellate বলতে এমন কিছুকে বোঝায় যা ইউভুলা (নরম তালুর পেছনে ঝুলে থাকা ছোট মাংসল অংশ)-এর মতো আকৃতির; বা উদ্ভিদবিদ্যায় এমন গঠন যার সঙ্গে ছোট, ঝুলন্ত, ইউভুলা-সদৃশ উপাঙ্গ থাকে।
