From Latin tibia meaning “shinbone; flute/pipe,” later used in anatomical Latin for the shinbone.
লাতিন ‘tibia’ (অর্থ: ‘শিনবোন/পায়ের নিচের হাড়’; আরও অর্থ ‘বাঁশি/নল’) থেকে এসেছে; পরে শারীরস্থানবিজ্ঞানে শিনবোন বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Definition
The tibia is the main weight-bearing bone of the lower leg, located on the inner (medial) side, forming the knee joint with the femur and the ankle joint with the talus.
টিবিয়া হলো পায়ের নিচের অংশের প্রধান ভারবহনকারী হাড়, যা ভেতরের (মিডিয়াল) দিকে থাকে এবং ঊরুর হাড় (ফিমার)-এর সাথে হাঁটুর জয়েন্ট ও টালাস-এর সাথে গোড়ালির জয়েন্ট গঠন করে।
