Thyrotoxicosis is a state in which excess thyroid hormones circulate in the blood, leading to an increased metabolic rate and symptoms such as weight loss, heat intolerance, tremor, palpitations, anxiety, and sometimes goiter; it can be caused by conditions like Graves’ disease, toxic nodular goiter, or thyroiditis.
থাইরোটক্সিকোসিস হলো এমন একটি অবস্থা যেখানে রক্তে অতিরিক্ত থাইরয়েড হরমোন থাকে, ফলে শরীরের বিপাকক্রিয়া বেড়ে যায় এবং ওজন কমে যাওয়া, গরম সহ্য না হওয়া, কাঁপুনি, বুক ধড়ফড়, উদ্বেগ এবং কখনও গলগণ্ড (গয়টার) ইত্যাদি উপসর্গ দেখা দিতে পারে; গ্রেভস রোগ, টক্সিক নডিউলার গয়টার বা থাইরয়েডাইটিসের মতো কারণে এটি হতে পারে।
