তত্ত্বায়ন (theorization) হলো কোনো ঘটনা/বিষয় ব্যাখ্যা করার জন্য তত্ত্ব সৃষ্টি, পরিমার্জন বা প্রয়োগ করার প্রক্রিয়া; এতে ধারণাগুলোকে একটি সঙ্গত কাঠামোতে সাজিয়ে সরাসরি পর্যবেক্ষণের বাইরে গিয়ে সাধারণীকরণ বা অনুমান করা হয়।
