From the shape of the T-shaped bone in the steak; later extended to describe a side-impact car crash where the vehicles form a 'T'.
স্টেকের ভিতরের টি-আকৃতির হাড়ের আকৃতি থেকে নামটি এসেছে; পরে যানবাহন দুর্ঘটনায় পাশ থেকে ধাক্কার ক্ষেত্রে, যেখানে গাড়িগুলো মিলিয়ে ‘টি’ আকৃতি হয়, সেই অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হতে শুরু করে।
Definition
A t-bone is (1) a cut of beef steak from the short loin that contains a T-shaped bone separating tenderloin and strip; and (2) in traffic, a broadside/side-impact collision where one vehicle hits the side of another, forming a 'T' shape.
t-bone বলতে (১) গরুর শর্ট লয়েন অংশ থেকে কাটা এমন স্টেক বোঝায়, যাতে টি-আকৃতির হাড় থাকে এবং তা টেন্ডারলয়েন ও স্ট্রিপ অংশকে আলাদা করে; এবং (২) যানবাহন দুর্ঘটনায় এমন পাশ থেকে ধাক্কা (সাইড-ইমপ্যাক্ট/ব্রডসাইড) বোঝায় যেখানে এক গাড়ি অন্য গাড়ির পাশে আঘাত করে, ফলে টি-আকৃতি তৈরি হয়।
