Definition
Suckering refers mainly to horticulture: removing unwanted side shoots (“suckers”) from a plant (or the plant producing such shoots). In other contexts it can mean attaching/moving using suction cups, and informally it can mean deceiving someone into doing something.
Suckering বলতে প্রধানত উদ্যানবিদ্যায় গাছের অপ্রয়োজনীয় পার্শ্ব-অঙ্কুর/কাণ্ডচারা (“suckers”) কেটে বা তুলে ফেলা বোঝায় (অথবা গাছে এমন অঙ্কুর গজানো বোঝায়)। অন্য প্রসঙ্গে এটি সাকার/সাকশন-কাপ দিয়ে লেগে থাকা বা চলা বোঝাতে পারে, আর কথ্যভাষায় কাউকে বোকা বানিয়ে কোনো কাজে রাজি করানো/ঠকানো বোঝায়।
