Definition
Substantiveness refers to the quality of being substantial—real, weighty, and significant rather than superficial; in grammar and semantics it can also mean the quality of functioning as a substantive (noun-like) form or meaning.
Substantiveness বলতে বোঝায় ‘সারবত্তা’ বা ‘গুরুত্বপূর্ণতা’—অর্থাৎ উপরিতল বা তুচ্ছ নয়, বরং বাস্তব, দৃঢ় ও তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ হওয়ার গুণ; ব্যাকরণ/অর্থতত্ত্বে এটি কোনো রূপ বা অর্থের বিশেষ্য-সুলভ (noun-like) বা substantive হিসেবে কাজ করার বৈশিষ্ট্যও বোঝাতে পারে।
