স্ট্রোমা শব্দটি এসেছে গ্রিক strōma থেকে (অর্থ: ‘বিছানা/আবরণ/কাঠামো’), এর সঙ্গে -al প্রত্যয় যুক্ত হয়ে অর্থ হয় ‘সম্পর্কিত’।
Definition
Stromal describes cells, tissue, or structures that belong to the stroma, the non-functional supporting framework of an organ (e.g., connective tissue around glands or tumors).
Stromal বলতে স্ট্রোমা-সম্পর্কিত কোষ, টিস্যু বা গঠনকে বোঝায়; স্ট্রোমা হলো কোনো অঙ্গের কার্যকরী অংশ (parenchyma) নয়, বরং তার সহায়ক/সমর্থনকারী কাঠামো বা সংযোজক টিস্যু (যেমন গ্রন্থি বা টিউমারের চারপাশের সংযোজক টিস্যু)।
