From stevedore + -ing; stevedore came into English via Spanish estibador (“one who stows cargo”), from estibar (“to stow”).
stevedore শব্দটি স্প্যানিশ estibador (“যিনি পণ্য গুছিয়ে/সাজিয়ে রাখেন”) থেকে ইংরেজিতে এসেছে, যা estibar (“পণ্য গুছিয়ে রাখা/স্টো করা”) ক্রিয়া থেকে উদ্ভূত; পরে stevedore + -ing যোগে stevedoring গঠিত।

Stevedoring is the commercial activity and skilled labor involved in handling cargo at a port—loading, unloading, stowing, securing, and moving goods between a ship and the shore (often using cranes, forklifts, and dock equipment).
স্টিভেডোরিং হলো বন্দরে পণ্য পরিবহনের বাণিজ্যিক কার্যক্রম ও দক্ষ শ্রম—জাহাজে মাল তোলা-নামানো, গুদামজাত/সাজিয়ে রাখা (stowing), বাঁধাই-নিরাপদ করা (securing), এবং জাহাজ ও তীর/ঘাটের মধ্যে পণ্য স্থানান্তর (প্রায়ই ক্রেন, ফর্কলিফট ও ডক-যন্ত্রপাতি ব্যবহার করে)।
